Police investigating lorry push footage

Dramatic footage of a motorway crash has emerged on YouTube.

The footage shows a lorry travelling along the A1(M) in Yorkshire with the Clio trapped in front.

The incident occurred in January and the haulage company responsible for the truck confirmed that no action had been taken against the driver after the police’s first investigation.

Police say there were no injuries and both vehicles were on the hard shoulder by the time they arrived, so the incident was treated as a “damage-only collision”.

However, since seeing the footage the police and the haulage company are now re-investigating the collision.

Madness on the M1

Recently when travelling back up from Nottingham, I came across a car that had broken down in the middle lane on the M1.  To my surprise the young gentleman had gotten out of his car, proceeded to walk around to the back of  it where he then casually leant on his boot while fiddling with his phone… in no hurry to get across to the hard shoulder when it was safe to do so.  I’m not sure how long he remained there after I had passed him but he seriously had a case of  the ‘what not to do’  bug.

If you ever find yourself with car trouble and are unable to get your car onto the hard shoulder safely at least switch on your hazards… and leave your car only when you can safely get clear of the carriageway.
